Hooligans ,
the video featuring narration by Steve Jones, is being prepared for an
extended DVD release (running time: 1 hr.). Steve will be recording brand
new dialogue for the release, as well as wearing a new costume. Production
will start in January, with the DVD released in May.

According to Record Collector magazine, Steve Jones has a guitar
up for sale via a friend, plus a Seditionaries parachute top.

The unseen
Professionals promo video for '1-2-3', makes a welcome appearance
on the newly released DVD 'The Greatest Punk' (EMI Gold 7243 4 92964 9
7). The 18 track video also includes Rich Kids - 'Rich Kids' (live),
& PIL - Public Image (promo).
Kick
Down The Doors trivia: The promo for
'1-2-3', was not recorded at the time of the single's
release in October 1980, but the following summer. It therefore features
the Cook / Jones / McVeigh / Myers line-up, rather than the Cook / Jones
/ Allen line-up who recorded the track. Also filmed at the same session
was a promo for 'Join The Professionals', which also remains unbroadcast.

21 October sees the re-release on Diesel Motor Records
of the Johnny Thunders tribute album 'I Only Wrote This Song For You'.
Originally released in 1994, the album features Steve
& Paul on the track 'Leave Me Alone (Chatterbox)' by Patti Palladin.
Glen Matlock also appears on 2 tracks, 'Help the Homeless' (performed
by The Screwballs), & 'Little Bit Of Whore' (Glen Matlock And The
Philistines). The CD contains new artwork, new photos, and a 24 page booklet
.

While in the US on Pistols duties, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock
went to the CAT Club, Sunset Bvld on 19th September. Glen got up on stage
with The Starfuckers for a rendition of 'I Wanna Be Your Dog'.

went along to see The Nothings first comeback show last night,
in Hollywood. Also in attendance was Mick Rossi (Slaughter &
The Dogs), and Ian Carrington, producer of the video 'Hooligans'
(narrated by Steve), & Hollywood United team mate. According
to eye witness reports, the show was a triumphant return for the group.

Club, Oxford Street, London.

& Paul did play for Hollywood United in the Soccer
Six tournament on 26th May. Hollywood United reached the quarter finals
of the competition, eventually being knocked out on a 'sudden death' penalty
shoot-out, as a result of Paul having his penalty saved!

PR for the Soccer Six tournament to be held at Stamford
Bridge (Chelsea) on 26th May has confirmed that Cook 'n' Jones
are on the team sheets! Steve and Paul will be part of the Hollywood United
team along with Vinnie Jones, Dennis Wise, Chris Evans and Ray Winston.
The event runs from 11am to 6pm. There will
be 16 six a-side celebrity teams from the worlds of music, football,
TV and films, playing for charity.

Last week Kick Down The Doors interviewed Steve Jones on
behalf of Total Guitar magazine. The issue will be on sale 13th
June - 10 July, and will include tabs for God Save The Queen. A
full expanded transcript will appear the following month on the site.
During the interview Steve revealed that along
with Paul Cook, he would be taking part in the Soccer Six tournament
to be held at Stamford Bridge (Chelsea) on 26th May. Also included in
his team will be Ray Winston, Vinnie Jones, Jason Statham, and Dennis
Wise.
Steve plans to come to England to produce a
young band, Violent Delight, for Warner Brothers.
Regarding the Pistols gig in July, "that's
definitely happening'.

Magazine Punk Special lists the LP under 100
Best Punk Albums, awarding it 4 stars out of 5.

Further information received suggests the
vinyl release of the unreleased Professionals LP could be part of a "limited
edition series" of "re-issued classics". Was the wrong
LP re-pressed instead of I Didn't See It Coming? The origin of
the re-pressing is still unclear.

The unreleased original
Professionals
album from 1980 (Virgin V2167), has recently been appearing for sale,
primarily on ebay, and also via some independent record outlets.
Debate continues as to whether these are original vinyl copies, or are
a high quality European bootleg reproduction.

World Football, (ITV1 - UK) on 15th March, discussing his soccer
team, Hollywood United. The programme is repeated in a late night slot,
20th March at 3.45am (ie 21st March).

this month's Mojo, amongst a list of rock celebrities selecting
their all-time heroes, Billy Duffy picks Steve Jones
as his second choice; 'My other hero is Steve Jones, 'cos he's the
most honest, fucked up freak you're ever likely to meet. NMTB was seminal,
no argument, and I'm lucky enough that he's my friend.'

"reserve not yet met". The auction information stated "Steve
has signed an endorsement deal with another guitar company and will not
be playing Gibsons again".
